Lifestyle Innovation Day 2026 highlights the transformative power of AI

Lugano, 18 May 2026 – The Lifestyle Innovation Day 2026, held at the prestigious LAC – Lugano Arte e Cultura, once again confirmed Lugano’s growing role as a key European hub for lifestyle innovation. Organized by Dagorà Lifestyle Innovation Hub, with the Lifestyle Tech Competence Center (LTCC) as Strategic Partner, the event brought together leading voices from fashion, technology, AI, and digital transformation.

The day was opened by LTCC President Filippo Lombardi, who highlighted the strategic positioning of Lugano as a unique ecosystem where quality of life, academic excellence, and institutional support converge to attract international talent and innovation. He also emphasized LTCC’s role as a concrete enabler of collaborative projects, fostering synergies between industry, research, and public stakeholders.

A central theme of this year’s edition was the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on the lifestyle sector. Throughout the day, speakers explored how AI is reshaping business models, customer experiences, and value creation across fashion, beauty, and retail.

The event featured contributions from several prominent LTCC member companies and partners, including VF Corporation, ASSOS of Switzerland, Guess Europe, HUGO BOSS, Microsoft, and Hyphen-Group, alongside academic and research perspectives from Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). Their insights provided a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and challenges linked to the adoption of AI, from e-commerce and user experience to sustainability, personalization, and compliance.

Among the key topics discussed were the evolution of AI-driven customer journeys, the emergence of intelligent agents in the beauty and retail sectors, and the growing importance of data-driven personalization. Particular attention was also given to the need for clear AI strategies, upskilling, and cross-sector collaboration to bridge the gap between ambition and implementation.

In line with its mission, LTCC continues to support the development of a dynamic and collaborative innovation ecosystem, promoting knowledge sharing and concrete initiatives that generate tangible value for companies and the broader territory.

During the event, LTCC also announced its upcoming event “Transforming Company Archive into Strategic Value”, which will take place on 10 June 2026 in Lugano and will focus on the strategic relevance of heritage and archives in the fashion and lifestyle industries.

The strong participation and high level of discussion once again demonstrated the vitality of the lifestyle innovation ecosystem in Ticino and reinforced the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of the sector.
