The Lifestyle Tech Competence Center is pleased to announce the upcoming hybrid workshop organized by USI – Università della Svizzera italiana, in collaboration with UN Tourism. This event will gather leading professionals and stakeholders to explore the integration of fashion and cultural tourism, with a focus on innovation, policy, and international collaboration.

Fashion represents a vital facet of cultural identity and the creative economy. Thoughtful integration of fashion within tourism strategies promotes local craftsmanship, advances heritage protection, and enhances the richness of cultural experiences.
This workshop, held as a side-event of the EU project SECreTour, will present the findings of the new joint report by UN Tourism and USI: Fashion and Cultural Tourism – Connecting Creators, Businesses, and Destinations (April 2025). Distinguished speakers will share evidence-based insights, international practices, and policy recommendations on how fashion can serve as a catalyst for sustainable cultural tourism and economic development.
Present key results from the UN Tourism–USI joint report
Examine methods for integrating fashion into destination tourism strategies
Highlight case studies that demonstrate effective collaboration among creators, designers, and tourism leaders
Offer guidance for public administrations, tourism boards, and businesses
Facilitate networking and knowledge exchange among professionals in tourism, culture, and creative industries
