Partner & Media day - Press Conference in the Municipality of Lugano

Lugano, March 26, 2025 – The Lifestyle Tech Competence Center continues to foster Research and Development in the Lifestyle Tech sector, advancing innovation in collaboration with top universities, global brands, and local enterprises. At the recent Partner & Media Day, the association unveiled its strategic initiatives for 2025 and beyond, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, sustainability, and innovation.

Our President Filippo Lombardi announced several key developments that reinforce LTCC’s role within the Swiss and European innovation landscape:

🔹HUGO BOSS joins LTCC as a new member, contributing to the ideation and promotion of the AI Lab for Sustainability and Compliance (ComplAI project). LTCC has commissioned a feasibility study of the project to the researchers of CodeLounge at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI).

🔹New scientific strategy and strengthened role within the Switzerland Innovation Park Ticino | Site of Park Zurich, accelerating synergies between industry and academia.

🔹Expansion of LTCC’s lab infrastructure, designed to enhance applied research and industry-relevant innovation projects.

🔹International collaborations, with the goal of attracting global brands and empowering local SMEs.

The conference also featured a contribution from Professor Lorenzo Cantoni of USI, who presented the Heritage and Innovation project, a joint initiative between LTCC and USI. A concrete example is the Swissness and Fashion research, which is showcased on Google Arts & Culture.

The event was made possible thanks to the valuable support of the City of Lugano, Dagorà Lifestyle Innovation Hub, and LTCC’s network of partners. Together, we continue to shape the future of lifestyle innovation, strengthening Ticino and Lugano’s role as a recognized center for Lifestyle Tech.
